K0242 (Universal/Medium Strength Threadlocking Anaerobic Adhesive) is a one component, thixotropic medium viscosity, medium strength, general purpose anaerobic thread lock anaerobic adhesive. This thread-locking anaerobic adhesive cures between two closely fitting metal surfaces and is isolated from air. This thread locking anaerobic adhesive can be removed with a hand tool.
Applications:
This thread locks the anaerobic adhesive to avoid loosening and leakage of the threaded fasteners. For locking and sealing of M6-M36 threads. Prevent thread rust.
Typical use: nut lock.
Instructions for use:
1. The surface to be coated should be clean, dry and free of grease.
2. Apply enough glue to fill all the engaging threads. This product works well in the thin layer of 0.05 mm or less.
3. For extra large size threads, a large gap will affect the curing speed and strength of the product. This product reduces the friction (torque to tension ratio) produced by the assembly. In applications where the thread needs to be tightened to a critical value, this ratio must be determined in advance.
Precautions for use:
This thread locking anaerobic adhesive should not be used on plastic parts; in order to avoid contamination of the original glue, please do not pour the poured glue back into the original packaging.
